“Leap of Courage: Skydiving for Scannappeal!”

What better way to conquer fear and support a fantastic charity than by jumping out of a plane? Join us in our bold mission to “Let Go and Skydive” for Scannappeal!

Inspired by an exhilarating conversation with BJ Tailor, Community Champion at Tesco Old Amersham, we formed a group of community-minded adventurers to take the leap – literally! On Saturday, September 28th, seven of us – BJ Tailor, Mimi Harker, Neil Walker, David Brown, Rupert Cooklin, Ben, and Therese Cooklin – faced our fears by skydiving from 13,000 feet to raise money for Scannappeal.

Our adrenaline-filled adventure began with a heart-racing freefall of a mile and a half, reaching speeds of 120 mph after just 10 seconds. Once our parachutes deployed, we floated gracefully down for another 5,000 feet, savoring the breathtaking views before safely landing after a five-minute journey back to solid ground.

Our goal is to raise £10,000 for Scannappeal, and thanks to your incredible support, we’ve already reached £6,751 plus Bj has been collecting in store Tesco Amersham which will increase the total!

We are so grateful for every donation, and we’re calling on you to help us reach the finish line. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference and help make our jumps even more meaningful. The money raised from this fundraiser will be to help raise for the Spinal Surgery appeal. We are also delighted to hear that our money will be matched by a generous local supporter. To put things into perspective, this fund requires £1.100,000 our amount raised is just a little portion – but nevertheless vital for Scannappeal to reach their target. Thank you for backing us on this thrilling adventure to overcome our fears and make a positive impact.
