When the World faces war bombs… perhaps it’s time for an S-Bomb

In the July-August summer editions of Truro Together and Gerrards Cross & Chalfonts Together, Community Together Communications chose to share a quietly powerful piece – The Great Invocation – a global peace prayer written by Master DK & first introduced by Lucis Trust in the wake of World War II.

Advocated by Eleanor Roosevelt and even read aloud by her at the United Nations in 1952, the invocation is a timeless call to Light, Love, and shared purpose for humanity. In the accompanying audio, the narrator reflects on the shadow of global conflict and suggests that the answer lies not in force, but in invoking the S-bomb… the spiritual force of goodwill, unity, and illumination.

Following its publication, a Truro reader reached out – a musician and long-time practitioner who has recited this invocation since 1988. It was a beautiful reminder of the unseen work many are doing to uplift the collective.

Adapted Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let light stream forth into human minds.

Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God

Let love stream forth into human hearts.

May the Coming One* return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known

Let purpose guide all little human wills –

The purpose which the Holy Masters know and serve.

May good will and the will to do good descend on Earth.

From the centre which we call the human race

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Let Light and Love and Power manifest the Plan on Earth.

This is a slightly adapted wording of the Great Invocation which was given out in 1945. In accordance with the changing conciousness and language of humanity as we enter into the Aquarian age, this “adapted” wording for the Great Invocation is offered in the hope that it will encourage wider distribution of this world prayer.

*Many religions believe in a Coming One, a World Teacher, knowing him under such names as the Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, the Bodhisattva, and the Messiah, and these terms are used in some of the Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist and Jewish versions of the Great Invocation.
